The design is created by alternating layers of clear and ruby colored glass producing this light refracting image of burning branches during a wildfire.

A discreet selection of granulated colored glass is picked up on a gather of clear then fused at 1,800 degrees.

More color is added before pressing the combination into an optic mold to concentrate the lines of transparent color.

A final gather of clear molten casing glass is added to refract light through the transparent color concentrations producing gem like luminosity.

The process of blowing and shaping the design then begins before finishing in our new mortar styling.
