The design is modeled on the Hyacinth Macaw’s soft textured and colored plumage.

The Hyacinth is the largest of all parrots with mature males reaching over 40 inches in length.

They are intelligent, social creatures of Central and South American rain forests.

Mating for life they share food, nest and grooming responsibilities over a 60 year life span.

Females have clutches of one or two eggs which incubate over a month.

Chicks leave the nest after 110 days but are still dependent for six months.

Hyacinth Macaws feed almost exclusively on palm nuts which are difficult to break with a hammer.

Their beaks deliver 200 pounds per square inch easily crushing coconuts into pulp.

In captivity they can disassemble wrought iron cages.
