Molten glass is fused with colors selected to have the look and feel of our #1809 Labyrinth design.

The colors are stretched and swept around the Rondelle by beginning the twist up at the center of the design.

This creates the pathways seen in the elaborate Labyrinth structure that was built for King Minos to hold the half man, half bull Minotaur of Greek mythology.

Before the 1900’s most glass was handblown making it impossible to achieve a perfectly flat product with pristine optical qualities.

When a crown was spun into a Rondelle, the thinnest, best glass always occurred in a band around the circumference of the disk.

If more uniform glass was needed, small diamond shapes would be cut from the edge of a Rrondelle, then mounted into a lead lattice.
