Ferns first appeared in the fossil record 360 million years ago making them some of the oldest living things on earth.

The use of ferns in the decorative arts dates back centuries.

Our woodland design is a modern example of fern motifs incorporated into pottery, glass, metal and textiles that date back to the Victorian era.

By reversing the application of colors and twisting the fern pattern, a fiddle head shape is made to appear once the design is blown and flared into a bowl.

The fern design pattern is only reproducible as a bowl or rondelle.

In folklore, finding the seed of a blooming fern on a midsummer night allows you to travel invisibly to locations where wisps mark hidden treasure.

Based on the response to this design, our Woodland Fern is itself treasured as an object of art.
